That parking arrangement is interesting. Do they reverse down that alleyway? Do they carefully arrange the pot and cone before and after using the car?

Is it not a real car?

That’s (clearly) a captivating photo for me.

I’m excited to explain it all to you 😀

Pots and cones are a common way for the homeowners to “reserve” the spot to park their own cars since it is just a space in the alley and not really a designated parking spot at all. They do have to move the pots and cones every time they drive in or out but I suppose to them it’s worth the hassle and making sure no one else is able to park while they are away. You can lodge a complaint with the police because they are technically occupying a public space illegally.

It’s an interesting arrangement, to be sure; and obviously it’s worth the hassle or people wouldn’t do it (I guess).

It’s an interesting glimpse into a different part of the world.

I think based on the fact that I had so much mental engagement with it shows it’s a great photo.
